Having spent a small fortune on new tires I decided I needed a new tire gauge. I didn't trust the cheap (made in China) one I had. Read the reviews and buy this one. This is quite a large gauge for my small hand and its configuration was different than my old one. The insertion point is not at the tip of the pole, but to the side of it. It takes a few tries to get the hang of it; The great thing is that the reading stays in place until you release it with a button for that purpose. This is useful when you are unable to get a dial indicator due to the awkward position of a particular tire valve. It seems to be an indicator of quality that I want to leave to my nephew or niece when I no longer need it.
