Review on 🍾 Pack of 100 #8 Straight Corks, 8" x 1 3/4" - Premium Quality Cork Stopper for Various Uses by Jessica Harrison

I have used other #8 connectors for years, wanted to try this one but it was a mistake. I bought them in November (15th) to be ready after cleaning etc. at the end of December, opened them today and the plugs smelled of mould! There are NO traces of mold on the cork, the plastic bag was sealed. I tried soaking them in PBW and rinsing them with SaniClean but that didn't work. I NEVER intended to cork 27 bottles of wine with a moldy cork so they went in the trash. Just in case anyone is wondering, I didn't store them in a dark, musty cellar either ;-) They ended up in the kitchen cupboard with the rest of the wine needs. By the way, none of it smells like mold. I suppose it's my fault because I didn't even take them out of the box when they arrived, too late to return them, so I think I've learned the lesson.
