The reason I give this product 1 star. Because there is no less than 1 star. I have tried many different types of 4.5" x 10" activated carbon block filters. I bought 4 packs. I'm on the 4th so that doesn't mean I bought 1 and then left a bad review. Make people understand my personal background. I work in the pharmaceutical industry. I have been managing/maintaining a water treatment plant for my company for over 16 years. So I know a lot about water filtration. 1. - if you use a block carbon filter. The main reason for using it is to remove chlorine and odors from your water. Technically it will do everything and reduce mud anyway. Within a week of chlorine you can smell and taste chlorine. 2nd is 5 microns. I also use a 1 micron sediment filter just before the blocking filter. Sediment filter of the same brand as the carbon filter "RonAqua". The sediment filter does its job very well. Thirdly, it is assumed that these filters only need to be changed 2-3 times a year. To make them last that long I use a 1 micron pre-filter. Now I change mine once a month. Whether he needs it or not. I do this to keep the carbon clean. But carbon dies fast. Installed the last charcoal on 08/29/20. I had to change it today 09/20/20. 3 weeks is crazy. The smell of chlorine was too strong. It started at least a week ago. But I tried to prolong my life. Unfortunately I have to use the $35 hot tub again. Double the cost but I get 2.5-3 months from the hot tub. In addition, the water quality tastes like a good bottle of purified water. Refreshing. Remember that water can be purified again. When you drink water from a bottle or elsewhere and feel like you're still thirsty. That's not good either. This means that the water has been purified.
