works great. You need to connect it to a ground wire if you want the outlet to be grounded (i.e. you need to connect it to black, white and green or it won't be a grounded outlet). Installation is simple and straightforward, all hardware included. I like that turning off the light doesn't affect the outlet in any way. I actually installed it on my back porch and the cord that goes there is controlled by a switch inside. So I can switch off both the light and the socket from the inside if I want. Or I can just control the light outside when the inside switch is on. As I wanted. I also installed one of those yellow lightbulbs in it to reduce the attraction of insects. The quality is good, as you would expect from Westinghouse. The body and mounts are solid. The socket is also solid, when you put something in it, it won't give you a weak feeling. This is a pretty good light at a very reasonable price.
