I was very pleased with these brushes, especially in light of recent research showing high levels of bacteria in sponges. I use these brushes for washing dishes and also for preparing dishes for the dishwasher. Here's what I like about them: 1) I like having five brushes; I can put the used ones in the dishwasher and have a few left over for other things. 2) It's good that they are all different colors; I can choose one for meat/poultry to minimize cross contamination. 3) They're tough enough to scrape dried foods and hard, sticky dirt. Here's what I don't like: 1) The bristles don't wrap around the end so they can't clean the bottom of a cup or glass. 2) The bristles are too stiff for some of the finer work and I'm afraid they might strip the coating off some of my dishes. 3) Something is wrong with the length and shape of the handle combined with the small bristle area, making it uncomfortable to use.
