Fits well and protects

This case has been used on a newly purchased iPad Mini 5 and has worked well. Overall, the only complaint would be that the front cover is designed to form a "stand" when folded back and inserted into slots on the back of the case. It doesn't fit well in the notches and generally doesn't stay in that position, but I don't need a kickstand, but others might.
