Volume progression is *finally* better (updated)

UPDATE November 2018: The latest firmware finally fixes the volume progression issue. This removes my main doubts about these speakers. There is no adjustment knob on the subwoofer yet, but that definitely cannot be fixed with a firmware update. In terms of sound quality I would rate these speakers as decent but not great. The lighting effects are really cool though, and if you're already in the Logitech ecosystem and have the Logitech Gaming Software installed, they can be controlled with that. goes from soft to loud with a single press of the volume up button), but I saw that Logitech released a firmware update in Summer 2018 to fix this issue. I've had good luck with Logitech accessories in the past and already use their gaming software for my mouse and webcam, so I decided to try and stay in that ecosystem. There was an error. I set up these speakers yesterday and played with my wife last night. On one level, the speakers were too quiet and I couldn't hear the game sounds very well. I clicked it once and my wife immediately complained that it was too loud (she was right). Another bug: on OSX, the subwoofer doesn't turn on at all. I made sure I had the latest firmware, tried my own EQ with full bass and no treble on a booming song, and nothing. It doesn't seem to apply to Windows. The only real workaround is to connect my Macbook via Bluetooth instead of USB. In terms of sound, the mids appear a bit flat and the subwoofer is rather weak. Usually the subwoofer has its own separate physical volume control, but not in this case. The backlight looks cool though. It should be so.
