I purchased this item from Sears. I compared it to my Craftsman Combo Square, Brown & Sharpe Combination Square and Protractor Head, Craftsman Speed Square and Craftsman Digital Protractor. Gauge readings are accurate to the right of the gauge but are offset one full degree to the left of zero. I rated it two stars because it's not useless. I still use it to convey angles. This is not an accurate measurement tool, but I expect an accuracy of at least ±0.5 degrees.
