Trying to save money will end up costing me more

UPDATE: This has been installed for 3-4 months and seems to be dying. It has inconsistent blowing power and problems putting it on when remote starting my truck got worse. Also, the initial airflow settings don't seem to work or change the airflow amount from one setting to the next. Conclusion: DO NOT BUY! It's a lot cheaper than an OEM replacement and to be honest that's why I bought it. It's very easy to install and probably saved me $300 doing it myself (took under 15 minutes but we all know a dealer would say it's a 3 hour job) . Now that we've talked about the pros (cheap and quick/easy to install), let's move on to the cons. Firstly, the thing doesn't really have as much power as my original fan, which isn't a huge issue for me in the warmer months as I prefer to keep the windows down, but in the winter it sucks and I plan on having it takes longer to warm up my truck and defrost the windows. Next it has a high pitched tone when on higher settings, think noisy computer server room. The thing has a mind of its own, too, from starting delayed to stopping for a few seconds after the truck is parked. Yes, and sometimes when I remote start my truck it won't turn on even though the switch is on. However, it works if I turn it off and on again, but that defeats the purpose of the remote start. When I originally installed this it ended up being lukewarm and I figured I could take the issues listed above, but now I just want to pay the extra money for the OEM version. In fact, I would pay for an OEM version even if I knew it would only last 2-3 years. I hope this helps educate people before buying as this may be a barrier for some but not for others.
