The calipers range in diameter from 1.479" to 1.480". So if you drill a 1.50" diameter hole, they will be loosened and not stay in vertical use. They should be 1.49 inches. There's really no excuse for that if they made a uniform for you. They should be with little pressure. I really don't want to use glue. The lid cover is perfectly designed.
