Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Monroe OESpectrum 37195 Shock Absorber: Unmatched Performance and Comfort by Damon Atonyo

VW Eurovan option in spare parts

This strut (shock absorber) is suitable for VW Eurovan 2001-2003. It's less than half the price of the next best Bilstein OEM rack. It is produced by Monroe but not made in the US but made in Spain. Obviously this is an OEM replacement for VW AG. Compared to the original gear carrier, you will find this Monroe carrier is thicker and more powerful. The rack is delivered without mounting material. All you need is a top nut that you reuse from your old rack, and you can also reuse two rubber bushings and a guide bushing. The lower bolt and nut are also reused from the lower A-arm. The installation is very easy. Simply remove the strut top plate from the frame member using a 19mm bolt and nut. Then we unscrew the bottom nut by 21 mm holding the bottom of the rack and remove it. We drove 165,000 miles from our original shelves in our 03-foot electric car before we found these Monroes. Although the originals had to be replaced for a while, I couldn't justify spending two hundred or more per axle on OEM Bilsteins. There has to be a better and cheaper solution somewhere. and we found it in these Monroes. The ride and handling of these Monroes, at under a hundred per axle, is vastly improved by these new gas struts. I recommend you try them out. I think you'll be impressed with the cost and OE performance at half the price of a Bilstein.
