Random Shutdown is good for portable audio and video

Random Shutdown. If you play a new CD when the song ends, an error message (Er) will appear and turn off, and sometimes in the middle of the song. No control over bass boost or skip protection to save battery. Cracking bass is produced by increasing the volume. If a CD has a scratch and skips playback, it will stop and turn off without FF getting past it. Looking for another brand. It sucks to lose money, skip it.
