This brush is exactly the same as the one we've loved for years except the metal bristles are sharp as if they were cut length, length and did nothing. to soften a blunt cut. It still works better than other brushes for us since some of us have fine hair and lots of it. Other brushes grab the hair under the plastic edges that hold those bristles in place, or between the bristles and something else that's a tiny short piece that only seems to serve to snag the hair. Since it's technically a wig brush, they figure there's no point in tipping.
