Review on πŸ”§ Adjustable Control Basement Storage Adapter by Brian Page

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Terrible product and also dangerous!

So I suspect the quality control is pretty bad as there is actually ALL positive feedback on this piece of junk. If everyone had products like mine, this product would no longer be sold as Revain would remove it. As many other reviewers have noted, the design of the socket requires you to use a lot of force to screw the bulb in (all plastic sockets, metal tab on thread). Also, the guide has the worst Chinese to English translation I've ever seen. You can usually decipher the gist of the sentence. You can't do that with them at all. The first of the two I ordered didn't work at all. Even after trying to adjust the daylight setting dial (which was spinning freely and didn't seem attached to anything). I put it aside and tried a second one. I screwed the bulb into the sensor (again, it was too much hassle), then the sensor into the overhead socket in my closet, then I unplugged the mounting wire. Took it off, unscrewed the bulb and found that the metal tab that should be in contact with the threaded portion of the bulb was pushed into the socket so it was close enough to the other terminal that was in contact with the end of the bulb is to cause a short circuit. Luckily the $10 LED bulb wasn't damaged. Absolute rubbish and a great way to burn your house down. The EU CE certification of the electronics is printed on the packaging, which I highly doubt is correct. At least they don't lie and claim to be UL certified. Unless you are trying to commit insurance fraud I would look elsewhere.
