This is my second dehydrator, the first lasted 40 years! WOW, I'm impressed with this. it heats evenly, the controls couldn't be easier to use, but you'll need a book on food dehydration for a guide on times and temperatures, and tips to make this a positive experience. The 10 drawers slide out nicely and are easy to clean with soap and water, as are the 'plastic' inserts which can be used for small items like herbs that fall into regular trays when drying. A plus is the removable plastic tray at the bottom, which is easy to clean and catches hard-to-remove drips from metal surfaces. It has worked great for me this harvest season. The only downside is that it's quite large and you should definitely decide where and how you want to store it before you buy it. Keep the crate for this purpose as well, it's heavy so don't plan on storing it too high.
