Has Potential but Is Disappointing

When this works, it's great. The setup was a little rocky since my router was set to automatically choose either the 2.4G or 5G band, which the bulb doesn't like. After forcing the network to 2.4G it took a few tries but the bulb eventually connected. The app is easy to use and it was a simple matter to add the device to Alexa and to add a routine to turn the bulb on and off on a schedule. It worked fine for a week or two and then began to be unreliable. The bulb would work for three or so days and then wouldn't turn on using either the routine or manual control through Alexa and the Bulbrite app. I could turn the power to the lamp off and on and the bulb would begin working again, for about three days. I figured that was just part of the quirkiness of the bulb and that I could live with having to power it off and on twice a week. After a couple of months of turning the lamp off and on to get the bulb to work, there was a short power outage at my house. This apparently caused the bulb to disconnect and I cannot get it to work again. I'm able to reset it so that it flashes quickly indicating setup mode but when I attempt to add it to the Bulbrite app, it fails, every time. The issue isn't my wireless network this time and I've given up trying to make the bulb work. So I have an expense bulb that I can use as a slow strobe light and nothing else.Save your time and money and find a different smart bulb that is more fully developed.
