Review on 🚲 Thule Pack n Pedal Basket" - Enhanced Search-Optimized Product Name: "Thule Pack and Pedal Bike Basket by Chuck Hernandez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It's heavy, difficult to attach, durable, and won't snap in and out. Also, it's expensive.

This is my first negative review of Revain. I feel like I'm doing this as a favor to those who are considering this product based on all the other very positive reviews that might encourage you to purchase this item. My first and foremost complaint is that it bolts into your bike rack practically tight with your backpack and pedals. Unlike panniers, it is not easy to attach and remove. I would expect this with a system like Pack-n-Pedal. They could easily have designed it for that. Worse, the attachment and detachment technology is far more complex than the lighter, simpler, or wire-framed basket. It has the same scroll carving that you see in Ikea furniture (and with good reason). Instead of just screwing it down, you have to line up the cylindrical threads perfectly to get the screw through. So this is a real challenge to dress and undress. So only buy it if you like the look of the plastic and want to screw it permanently to your bike. There are much nicer (and lighter) baskets that attach to a bike rack. Or there are stronger, lighter and more practical baskets with stainless steel wire frames. I don't see any advantage in this other than the Thule branding. It is heavy, difficult to attach, non-detachable, cannot be taken on and off, and expensive.
