Causes cancer? suitable for filter

They are great for my Roomba. My only concern is that when I received them in the package they had a sticker that said 'Warning causes cancer and harm to the reproductive system'. Why? It makes me nervous about using it in my house. I thought it was just a filter. has anyone else seen this?
