Review on PROCURU 2-Pack 15A UL Listed Tamper Resistant Self-Test GFCI 🔌 Outlet with LED Indicator and Wall Plate, White (2-Pack, 15 Amp) by Nicholas Peters

These are very good GFCI sockets that meet the latest anti-tamper requirements. They also have an LED indicator that shows when the device is on. They are comparable or even better than anything you find in big stores. The negative reviews about installation and terminal issues are actually wrong; 14 gauge or 12 gauge wire will work, including ground lug. See update #2 below for hints. The instructions are good and they describe how to set it up as a single GFCI outlet or daisy chain additional downstream outputs. Stickers are included to mark them. To update. The two packs I bought last July were both TR (burglary proof) and WR (weather proof). It was good. But the two packs I just received are not marked WR, only TR, and they are in a different color box. I will not downgrade the rating as Procura only lists TR in the description. However, I would rather get the same as last time. Update #2: I was curious as to why some browsers have trouble connecting cables. I am uploading an image showing a GFCI outlet with 12 gauge copper wiring attached. These wires are fully inserted but left slightly long to show that it is actually 12 gauge copper. If a 12 gauge will work, then a smaller 14 gauge will also work. Make sure each screw is fully backed out before inserting the wire. The ground wire terminal hole fits snugly into the 12 gauge wire. Therefore, make sure that the end of the wire is cut cleanly and not flattened. Insert with pliers; Finger pressure is not enough. It will work. The holes for insulated conductors are slightly larger and these wires are easier to insert. However, according to the code, make sure your white wire goes to the silver screw and black wire goes to the gold screw. Hope that helps.
