Unfortunately I live in an area where thieves often siphon your petrol. Since I have a pickup truck with a large gas tank (about 30 gallons) there is a lot of fuel to steal with a full tank! It costs about $100 to fill up on gas and live paycheck to paycheck. I was very concerned that this old van doesn't have a locking mechanism for the gas door or lid. Great, cheap and easy solution! I was almost expecting to send this back considering the price is so low but it looks like a good quality cap! Came with two keys if like me you're good at losing keys. The seal is good, there is no smell of petrol, which I notice when I open the fuel filler flap. I fiddled with it a few times to get it off without unlatching it and it stayed in place as intended. Very happy with this product!
