Review on πŸ”§ LOCTITE 243 Threadlocker for Automotive: Medium-Strength, Oil Tolerant, High-Temperature, Anaerobic, Blue, 6mL Tube (Part Number: 1330799 - 1330799) by Francisco Taylor

Industry standard

There's a reason copiers are called "copiers" and napkins are called "napkins". Thread sealants are called "Loctite" for the same reason. This stuff was probably the first, it's still the most popular, and it just works. 243 is said to be more grease and oil resistant than 242, the "blue Loctite" everyone has been using for years. As far as I can tell, this thing 243 works the same as the thing 242. You apply it, tighten the fastener and give it at least a day to harden. The 6ml tube is handy for a toolbox and should do the trick as long as it's tightly sealed.
