Had to turn the temperature control to max to get semi-crunchy waffles. Very little left with temperature knob. The non-stick surface worked very well. Do not turn the dough for 20-30 seconds to prevent the dough from spilling out when turning. The dough didn't rise in the box on the first try. Used homemade internet recipe batter and waffles were much better. I will try other recipes and post the results. Mfg recommends 200ml, which is about 0.89 cups. I used a 1 cup scoop where the batter almost reached the top. FOLLOW UP REVIEW After using the device a few times I have updated my original review. I set the temperature just below the MAXIMUM. I plug in the device and let it warm up for 10 minutes. My dough contains butter, so I don't grease the molds. I use 200ml batter. It's just shy. I set the temperature controller just below MAX. After pouring in the batter and closing the lid, I wait 20 seconds before flipping. I wait about a minute and turn it back. As for me, I wait 10 minutes and my waffle comes out brown and chewy on the inside. Great waffle maker for the money. I didn't give 5 stars because the temperature controller isn't the most accurate.
