Review on 🎥 ATEM Mini Pro HDMI Live Stream Switcher by Blackmagic Design by Lance Foster

Great little switch. Definitely impressed with the capabilities of this Atem Mini Pro. As a professional CTO running the Grass Valley, Sony and Tricaster switcher shows, I am very critical of switchers, form factor and functionality. Only a few buttons and only the HDMI input has its limitations. But with this out-of-the-box switch, with atem software already installed on my laptop, I was able to do everything I expected and more. I used it as an auxiliary switch for the talents controlling what they see on their screen, like a monitor on the lower stage. I originally used my ME on the 8th row with macros, but there were too many simultaneous clicks and I needed a row for other tasks. So I threw in an atem mini pro and was able to install the software to switch to the tablet and another person was able to make my sub switch from the tablet with no problem! Damn amazing! When I saw that black magic atem mini, this new professional model, added multi-screen mode, I bought it immediately. It's a small console and everything has to be plugged directly into it, which makes the small console look sloppy on the table. But is there the power and functionality of larger items crammed into this tiny body? I'm sold! HDMI is not a professional format. But this switch is professional, with all the professional options of the pricier Atems packed into a small package. It actually has some features that expensive products don't have. Ability to record on 2 USB flash drives with one key. And the ability to stream directly to the network without a computer. I am happy. If you are a pro or beginner using console switches and only need 4 inputs, this switch is a great solution. Especially in this price range. On some of my smaller jobs I use it instead of my $50,000 tricaster because it's smaller and faster.
