Review on πŸ”§ Dynomax Exhaust System Hanger 36412 by Brett Gilbert

Not for ZJ 97 unless you want to modify

The name speaks for itself. not for Jeep ZJ 1997 TSI. There's nothing more to read if you don't want to change it, so stop reading. If you're having trouble finding the right one. Well that's my story. I have a ZJ 97 and the original hanger bar it came with was 1/2 inch in diameter. In contrast to this device, for which it was designed here. but the pipe should be inclined. However, the exhaust pipe I bought was listed for my ZJ, but it was an XJ style hanger. I couldn't find one that was long enough or at the right angle to weld on, so I decided to use There Is One. Dynomax hanger coming close. Although this Dynomax hanger is listed as "doesn't fit my Jeep", it was a good starting point to cut and install on my ZJ Jeep. For example, the Walker exhaust I bought has a 3./8 inch stem. too small and that direction is left to right, in fact most I've found were 3/8" and too short after bending or too short after you bend it around the exhaust pipe. a little help from mine Dremel and a hacksaw to take the finished rig apart and a MIG welder The angle you will most likely need is about 20-30 degrees outwards you are looking at it front to back and you are moving it to the right. Of course I would suggest you test this on a ZJ rather than taking my word for it.The fixed hanger works and was actually easy to work with fine so don't rub it.I might pick up an extra hanger for future reference just so I know what the New England Salt is going to do with this one.

Pros
  • . Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Low maintainability
