I bought these trimmers after reading all the reviews and I'm glad I did. Reviews said it wasn't good for hoof trimming, but other reviewers said it was good for gardening. I do gardening for myself and as a small business. These trimmers have done 4 different jobs and are just right for the following tasks - trimming overwintered perennials to the ground, light trimming of thin shrubs, trimming some roots, they do their job very well. I'm glad I have them, they're ergonomic, comfortable in hand and open powerfully, sturdy, and I especially like the little "loop" to hang on my wrist between trims when I'm cutting Remove stems and branches. Away.update - blunts fairly quickly and cannot easily cut medium sized branches. still good on perennials. but I prefer a different shrub trimmer.
