Bought 2 of these a little tired of the size as they look quite small. I needed desks that fit in a limited space for my 11 and 7 year olds and this helped. You can definitely use them for years. I could definitely use it as an adult but as I work from home I need more space. I really like the drawers so not everything sits on the table, the little shelf gives my kids a chance to add their own personal touches etc. The assembly actually consists of installing drawer legs and handles which was a great relief. . I think they are durable and will last for many years. My kids love them the most. We got the 'green' that I was hoping is really a light mint teal and a solid black, both great. I think it was worth its price around $150. I don't think I'd want to pay more for it just for the sides, but I think the price is worth it now.
