Review on Nearly Natural 15 5In Areca Artificial by Megan Ramirez

Looks convincingly real

I bought this along with some other artificial plants to add some greenery to my interior. I live in the Caribbean so plants usually grow well outdoors. But to bring those same plants indoors to get that "green" feeling, they need to be carefully brought back outside within a few days. Like many homes here, my home has sturdy aluminum blinds which are great in a storm but don't let in much natural light unless left fully open. However, there is a risk of an afternoon gale pouring rain into the open windows and I don't want to risk it until I get there to close them. The best solution I could think of was to invest in some high quality artificial plants to replace some of the real ones I bring into the house. The picture shows my small living room behind my kitchen. This product, an almost natural mini Areka palm, sits on my desk (and an artificial spider in a hanging basket). It looks totally real and takes up the space my real bonsai would rotate back and forth in, allowing it to stay outside where it can constantly get the light it needs. This hand has been sitting on the table for weeks and I never realized it wasn't real, even though I know it's not. An added bonus is that it hasn't turned brown or died on me in that time, so that's about it! ;) Will update when needed, but looks like it was worth buying - looks really good.
