I have an elderly cat who pees everywhere despite multiple litter boxes and I'm always looking for a better way to get rid of urine odor. Well I believed the reviews about it and bought this gallon jug and two spray bottles. Everything returns. OdoBan smells great, I agree, and if I were just trying to freshen up a smelly sock or a dog blanket, for example, I'd probably be fine. But not only does this not work with cat pee, it makes it worse. I removed some new urine stains and then treated the stains with Odoban. I also treated an old stain. When I later passed these spots, the smell of urine was worse than before it was removed. So I sprayed some more and then covered each spot with a rag so no one accidentally stepped on the wet spot on the carpet. After a few hours she peed on every single rag! As if Odoban were a beacon for cat pee. He's also done absolutely nothing to piss the laundry in the laundry room or odor remove a few piss rugs we keep in the basement while we wait for the right urine odor eliminator; Stains smell worse. Despite our cat's tendency to urinate, our house has never smelled of cat urine because we've always cleaned it. The house has smelled horribly for the past few days. It was gross. My advice: if you have an older cat that has very heavy, concentrated urine and pees outside of the litter box, DO NOT BUY THIS. Perhaps let's return to the wonder of nature.
