I ordered 4 batteries, 2 of them wouldn't turn on and wouldn't charge. 2 returned "faulty" and only 1 of the 2 new replacements worked. Same problem. (won't turn on or charge). I think there must be more to this question. I checked the "non-working" batteries on a volt meter and they all worked fine. On a whim I used a sharp utility knife and cut some of the white shrink wrap on the negative end of the batteries and that fixed the problem. The white plastic shrink wrap kept the radio's battery contacts from touching the battery's negative terminal and completing the circuit. Zero problems now with one of the batteries.
