My Dakota 98's clicks and slow response were fixed by replacing this linkage. This unit looked like it was very well made and installed with little effort. However, since the device only fits in one case, there is a 50/50 chance that alignment will be required. I needed it and took the car to the local STS shop where everything was aligned. No more steering issues and I feel a lot more relaxed now as the steering is more responsive. Some of the other places I contacted about this part were charging over $300. Worth the money invested!
