I've been experimenting with fillers to see which ones work best for odor control. Here's what I experienced with this litter: Tracking: Terrible tracking. I've had clay fillers before and I prefer clay. Small blue crystals were all over the floor, even far away from the tray. It made me gross. Dust: It gave off more dust than expected, but much better than sound. Weight: She was surprisingly light. I like it. Clean Up: Picking up feces is easier than clumping clay. I felt disgusting just stirring the urine, didn't feel right leaving it there. The more yellow crystals I saw the more the tray turned me off and I couldn't wait to get it replaced. Complete cleaning of the litter box was easier than with clumping clay, but the wet spots with "urine dust" were terrible. There were also small tiny bits of feces that were broken off and difficult to find. I couldn't help it. Smell: I expected a lot more from this. Absolutely nothing helped against the poop smell. My cat might as well shit right on my carpet how bad it was. My guests talked about the smell when I asked for an honest review. They didn't do it with clay bedding. Clay bedding (especially fever) smelled much better. And I never smelled urine until I used Crystal Filler. As for the cat, he had no trouble getting used to this pen. However, it stuck more to his paws. In general I didn't like it. Now I'm trying out a different clumping litter, I gave the second bag of crystal litter to the animal shelter. Maybe they have more of it than me.
