I've been racing for a few years but can't bring myself to spend the money on a nice bike light - I kept stealing my husband's light off his bike . In the end I decided I needed my own, especially as we would love to ride bikes together. I bought this for only $14.67 which was too good a deal to pass up. The extra bracket will come in handy if we want to change that too. 280 lumens on high setting makes for a pretty powerful beam. The medium setting is good for saving battery life and the flash setting is cool, but I don't think I'll be using it much. The included taillight was a nice addition, but I bought a Bright Eyes Light 100 lumen waterproof rechargeable bike light when I bought this one, so I gave the smaller taillight to my son for his bike. My only complaint about this bike light is that it's not rechargeable, but for the price there's nothing to lose.
