Review on KRUPS Simply Single Serve Stainless Tumbler by Kellie Rose

I don't normally write negative reviews but because Revane has 'robbed' me with a barrage of 'We care about your opinion' emails about this product; Here: I have had a Hamilton Beach Single Cup Coffee Maker for 7 years and thought I would replace it with a new one because I was so happy with it. Hamilton Beach has many great features but doesn't include a travel mug. When I saw that the Krups coffee maker had a nice cup I decided to take a chance because Krups is a good brand too. When I received it I was very happy because it is very, very beautiful. Also easy to use and very fast AND good coffee. BUT when I reached for the cup I pulled my hand away because it was very hot. Once I got used to the heat, I could handle it. Next I took my first sip and VERY HOT coffee started dripping down my chin onto my freshly ironed white shirt. I was over the moon because I wasn't driving at the time. Even if you pour water into the sink under the lid, it will drip onto the mug wall. I later brewed coffee from a standard sized coffee mug and found that there was also a problem because unlike Hamilton Beach, there was no carrying stand. A shorter cup is closer to the spout and therefore squirts coffee across the counter. Conclusion: I'm disappointed because Krups made a nice product but ignored the details. I mean SERIOUSLY Krups, a simple test would point to the need for coziness around the mug and drip-free lid. If so, it would be an excellent product and I would write a rave review. But remember, the mug was what made the sale and it's useless as a travel mug. It's not useless because I can drink from a mug when I don't use the lid and the coffee is good, but don't think about driving it to work and don't drive too much. I ordered a pair of Contigo travel mugs for the price of a coffee maker for momentary use. If you are considering this product, please review Hamilton Beach before purchasing. You have to add a cup, but you'll save a shirt and avoid a car crash.
