Failed to load media. Honestly, this is a great kit to start your home wireless transition without spending ridiculous amounts of money on upgrades. The lightbulb and wireless switch are pretty easy to set up and get up and running. I love that the switch comes with all the hardware needed for installation and the bulb only needs to be paired for it to work. Everything is controlled and configured within the Cync app itself, and this is where I docked the star simply because the app can get a little confusing. When I originally connected the bulb and switch, both devices required an update. However, when I pressed updates on the radio button, it would complete and show a "Continue" option, but when I clicked it, I kept getting an error message saying I had to complete the update or force cancel. I closed the app completely and even restarted my phone but had the same issue. However, the switch itself still works, so it's a bit confusing. My phone is also fully updated to the latest software and support said it could just be an issue with the Switch. However, aside from the app itself, the switch still works (I hope it stays that way, considering the app still shows it's not up to date) and allows me to switch the lightbulb not only on- or turn it off, but also to dim it which is absolutely great. Sometimes you don't need full brightness like in your living room to watch movies, but you need LITTLE light. That's great. In addition, you can change the color on it to set a certain mood. I'll probably buy some more bulbs because honestly it's ideal if everything is automated and on a schedule and can be accessed wirelessly (e.g. if you're away from home and want it to feel like as if you were there). . 1 star dock only due to issues I'm having with the app and updates not getting through.
