Review on ๐Ÿ›น Ridge Skateboards Retro Cruiser Skateboard - Big Brother Edition by Paul Philippe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great buy for skates, skateboards and scooters

After I left college last September I needed a set of wheels. I stumbled upon the Ridge Board while browsing Revain and after reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews I made the purchase. Boy am I glad I did that. Let me explain why the skateboard deserves all those five stars: Portability: Being in college, I have to sit in classrooms filled with 400 students. The ridge board is nice and compact, making it easy for me to carry it past other students to my seat and hide it under a chair during a lecture. Also, it only weighs 5 pounds, so it's not a burden to carry when I'm indoors, like at the library. Easy to learn: Before I got my skate crest, I had never ice skated in my life. When I received the board it only took me about 3 days to really get the hang of it. The large amount of legroom makes it easier to keep your balance, even at high speeds. Build Quality/Durability: The skateboard is extremely durable and long lasting. In the last 5 months he has been dropped, kicked and jumped on (albeit lightly). Despite all this, there are still no signs of breakage or cracks. The trucks are solid and the wheels are pretty solid; all materials appear to be of high quality and not "cheap". I have ridden this board in the rain, on sandy surfaces and in the sun and none of these environmental conditions have harmed the board. Style: The style is great. If you like the typical look of the penny board, you can't go wrong with this board because it's a replica. It also looks like a 1970's skateboard if that's what you're looking for. The style makes it so I never feel stupid dragging or riding this board across campus. Ride: The ride is very smooth. It feels great on most surfaces. The only surface I feel bumpy riding over the bricks, but it's inevitable. Board control is excellent. I loosened the carts a bit to give them a bit more mobility. She responds very well to my tendencies. Price: You can't get a better board for this price, just like that. Extremely affordable for what you get. The only downside to the ridge board is the standard bearings. They're not necessarily bad, but I've switched to red and ride a lot longer now. I would recommend trying bearings and if that's not what you're looking for then buy new ones. Standard bearings are not unsuitable, but they are not outstanding either. All in all, this is a great board at a great price. I use it every day and I don't regret my purchase one bit. 5 Stars.
