This is a great cable but would recommend for a fairly large hole in the lamp cage. Note that you cannot disassemble the base. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what other reviewers were talking about when they said they could analyze it. No you can not. You can cut the cords, but please do not try to pull or push the cords or otherwise damage the outlet. I pretty much *destroyed* the outlet trying to take it apart and am just glad I had a surge protector. Obviously I failed. If I had to do it all over again, I would cut the wires a farther distance from the outlet than I did, which would give me more room to twist them together. Note: I am not responsible for how you remount your project. I'm just telling my experience.
