Review on Faleemi WiFi Outdoor Camera with Night Vision, 1080P Home Surveillance, Motion Detection, 2-Way Audio, IP66 Waterproof, SD Card Slot and Cloud Storage, Compatible with Android/iOS by Jerome Brooks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great outdoor camera for $35: good camera/video, impressive mic, solid construction

I've tried several different brands of security cameras at this price point. The Faleemi camera stands out from the rest - a lot of small details in materials and design, affordable price, functional application, excellent video, effective night vision and *audio*! Connecting the camera to the Faleemi app was easy. via a wired connection. Wireless was a little problematic initially, but once we realized that the initial handshake was (almost) long, everything went smoothly. Outdoor casing - solid aluminum (alloy?) with good seals (probably silicone). The camera works well (not sure about the chip) and is paired with an Ingenic T21 "Extreme Video Micro-Processor"; The MPU has an aluminum thermal bridge to the case and appears to be working well. Wi-Fi uses Realtek 8188FTV on a standard 4-pin module (probably detachable/general purpose). The internal structure consists of 3 spaced circuit boards - infrared SMD LEDs, main circuit board and microSD card adapter connected by brass gaskets. The microphone is willy-nilly very sensitive (it picks up gas from 10 feet away). I haven't tested this part, but I assume that since it has a speaker it can also be used as an intercom (I'm not sure).
