Not bad. solved my problem but needs revision

I bought this camera because I haven't uploaded my photos and videos in the last 3 years! When I bought the iPhone 12, I just transferred all my photos and videos from my iPhone 10. I ended up with over 19,000 images and 2,500 videos worth about 200GB. I figured I'd just plug this little drive into my device. iPhone 12, download the required Y-Drive app and wait a few hours for the images and videos to be copied. This assumption was unrealistic. However, I was able to download 1,300 videos in one session, which isn't too bad considering the Lightning cable that came with my iPhone 12 didn't work for some reason. Sometimes my computer saw the iPhone hard drive and sometimes it didn't, and I got an error message every time I tried to upload my pictures. So I went on the internet and found out that these little discs exist and I bought them. The drive works, however I had to upload my photos and videos bit by bit over a few days. I recommend that you go to your iPhone Settings and in the Display and Brightness section change the auto-lock to never. If you don't see the Never option, you have a work or school Microsoft Exchange email account. I had two such email accounts. As soon as I deleted them and restarted the phone, the "never" option appeared. I recommend this because if your phone crashes while uploading a photo/video, the upload will be canceled or fail and you will have to start over. Another suggestion is to reset the Y-Drive app from time to time and turn the phone on and off if the drive stops working. This has happened to me several times. There are also some recommendations for improving the Y-Drive app. You can select each photo/video individually or all. It's useless if you only need to select one month or section. I have about 300 pictures a month and after a while my finger started to hurt from having to click on each picture one by one. Remember I had over 19,000 images. I think you can avoid this by deleting the uploaded images from your phone. But I felt safer waiting to the end to delete them after copying them all to my computer and external hard drive. I wish you could select by dragging your finger like in the Photos app on iPhone or Shutterfly. Also, the floppy worked better for me if I removed the images from the floppy each time I transferred the package to the computer. It probably ran faster that way since the Y-Drive app didn't need to load the preview and could just focus on loading photos/videos. In general, I save this small plate. I plan to save all 200GB of videos and photos on it from my computer to hard drive at the end so I can have an extra backup. For the price I'm happy, but of course I'd rather be able to do everything in one session, perhaps with a more expensive drive that would be possible? Edit: The copy to USB function for photos stopped working for me after a few days. I've tried everything: resetting the app, turning the phone on and off, uninstalling the Y-Drive app and reinstalling it, disconnecting and flipping the flash drive a few times, removing the iPhone case, etc. After I was about to Given was USB stick to upload and return, I read in the attached PDF manual that it is possible to copy and paste files into the explorer area. At the bottom of the app the second tab says "File Explorer", just click the inner tab at the top and then the three dots at the top right where you can select photos, create a new folder or sort. After selecting the photos, you can select one by one or select all. You can copy them by selecting the "Copy" tab at the bottom left next to the cut option with scissors. You can copy the files and then select the USB tab, select the folder you want to send pictures or videos to or create a new folder and then by the three dots there is an option to paste to that path and it has is working. I created folders for each month of the year and used the copy and paste option. It was a little tedious as I had to select the images/photos one by one, but I'm glad it at least worked and I was able to upload the huge amount of photos and videos I had. Pictures/videos month after month instead of waiting three years. lol The flash drive now serves as a second backup of my photos/videos as I now have them on my computer and flash drive. Another benefit is that I can now put my USB stick in my purse and access my old photos/videos anywhere. I chose to keep the flash drive for this purpose and also because it's easier than getting my lightning cable to work and discovering my computer. There's a bit of a learning curve, but in the end it worked for me, so I'm happy with it.
