Photo of a soda can on a foot of a tile for scale. I like that it uses a rechargeable battery, but it can be replaced if it fails. It has a proprietary cable and I would prefer some sort of USB. It's bright enough to see outside in the bright New Mexico sunlight. It WILL leave a line on the floor. I have another one that doesn't. The magnetic base isn't very strong, so be careful when using it to support weight. It beeps when it's not level. The thread on the bottom fits my camera tripod, which is very convenient. I charged overnight then left it plugged in during the day and used it for about 4 hours on average on 3 attempts. (to the hour, I just checked every hour). It was with horizontal and vertical lines.
