Review on SIMPLIHOME Cosmopolitan Contemporary Rectangle Distressed Furniture for Accent Furniture by Jen Rose

This ottoman is just the right size for the love seat in our small office. I wasn't in the fine furniture market, but I wanted something that looked good enough, was multifunctional (a footstool, a place to store some blankets, and a place to put a tray of snacks) and wasn't expensive. I was apprehensive about buying furniture online, but after doing my research I felt pretty comfortable ordering this one. It arrived the next day, was easy to unbox and took less than 5 minutes to "assemble" (screw on legs). There were no obvious flaws with my ottoman and the legs screwed in easily and fit snugly. There was a slight chemical smell in the storage compartment, which largely dissipated overnight. It didn't compare to the strong chemical smell I noticed in the ottoman at the local store. A very dark brown goes well with the colors in the room and looks really nice there. While not to be confused with thin leather, it is not an obvious fake like many of the products I have looked at in the local market. The bottom of the storage compartment is semi-rigid - good for blankets, a couple of magazines, remote controls, a tablet, etc., but probably not for heavy items. For the price it's better than expected. Can't comment on durability at the moment, but since we don't wear the shoes at home and don't have pets or toddlers anymore, I suspect it will hold up well here. I am very happy that I chose this product.
