Wanted to wait a bit before writing this review. Now I have. Thunderstorms in southern Mississippi, if you haven't experienced them yet, are events that inspire deep theological reflection and increased church attendance. In the restoration of our 150 year old historic home, a very expensive, highly complex, and highly efficient system of 19 mini-split units replaced the HVAC parts waste collection that had accumulated over the years. LG's system was very efficient (cooling a 5,200-square-foot house in July and August for less than $200 a month) but too sensitive to lightning strikes. Each thunderstorm was accompanied by a call to the support service. The system is under warranty, but calls to service are $300 per visit. Multiply that by 6-10 support calls per month and you get quick results. The contractor installed this unit on top of the main unit and that was it. No support calls, no downtime in two years. I am convinced of this product. Also protect a house full of computers, electronics and recording equipment, including old tube amps. I recommend professional installation but a 5 star product in all respects.
