Does what it's supposed to do

I installed this on a SLA 35ah battery that I use in Power Wheels. It seems to work fine, but I haven't checked it against my multimeter yet. Pros: I can see how the drain on the battery is affecting the voltage in real-time, the screen is bright enough to be read from outside and fairly bright at night, power consumption is low enough to be negligible (seriously , I did the math, to discharge the battery it takes years and the self-discharge rate is much higher) so I just leave it on all the time, the temperature monitoring is good so I can act on a short circuit before the battery is damaged , or explodes, the wires and temperature sensor are of good length. The downsides are that the wires are very thin and broke a couple of times during installation (but to be honest, this thing uses almost no power, so there's no point in making thick wires). Mine didn't come with instructions so I don't know how to change it from C to F or change the alarm settings. I didn't bother to look at them, so obviously it's not a big deal. My device had no problem turning it on or off, it does both, I just chose to leave it on. Looks professional when flush installed. The stuck car's power consumption caused the alarm to sound once or twice, which is due to the power consumption. So I know the alarm works and the volume is loud enough that you can hear it outside, but not so loud that you can't ignore it if you want to. Overall I am satisfied and would buy it again.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I'll write back later
