This is a nice little tripod. I don't know how well it holds a large DSLR, but it works well with my Flip Mino VCR. The low height of this tripod comes in handy for timer group shots when you have something other than the ground to set it up. The legs are strong and don't move on their own, but are quite flexible if you adjust them. You're not going to flex it sideways or anything because most cameras weigh more than this thing, but I wasn't expecting that anyway. Ball feet can sometimes slip when standing on a curved surface. So if you are looking for a tripod for your dashboard, it might be better to look for a tripod with suction cups for the legs. Overall I am happy with this product and have only used it occasionally since 2009.
