I bought this after reading a lot of negative reviews on here. I like that there are no malicious "apps" on the player - it's all already on my TV. Some reviewers have complained about the remote control, but I haven't had any issues with it. The HDMI port on my 4K OLED TV a few weeks old played a brand new 4K DVD using an HDMI cable advertised as HDMI 2.1 qualified. happened to be stuck at a black screen and recovered after a few seconds, but after about an hour of this nonsense it would lock up and shut down. Rebooted the device, fast forwarded right before the freeze and clicked "Run" and it reproduced perfectly the moment it froze, and then 5 minutes later the same nonsense started. and returned it after a full day in possession.
