I'm taking this base to replace another one, the main reason is that you have 45 degrees in the base so you have more vertical range, with the other you have to move the base monitor to the limit, and that's it. Another reason is that this one is more open at the base so there is more ventilation. I would like better support in the corners, even with the anti-slip support you don't feel like it's really in the right position, it probably depends on the laptop model, the top strap helps with that.
