Review on πŸͺœ Drive Medical 13062-1SV Bariatric Step Stool: Sturdy Handrail & Stylish Silver Vein Finish by Ryan Selpasoria

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stable and shapely

Well made stool for heavier people. Unlike others that need to be assembled, all parts are welded for stability, no assembly is required. Only the handle needs to be inserted into its lower base where it is held by a bracket. Weighs 13 pounds, making it agile. Some earlier criticisms deserve attention. First, you must FIRST shift your weight onto the stool and then pull yourself up to the assisted rail. It's your weight that stabilizes things. Expecting a railing without a railing to act as a stabilizer is unfair. Second, some have criticized the appearance of this item for being made of troweled bronze rather than stainless steel. This is a service item not intended for public display. In fact, I think the color goes better with the adjacent furniture if you want to leave it next to the bed. Otherwise it's in the closet. Third, several people were concerned about the smell of the device. The device I ordered for my wife did not have an unpleasant smell.
