The sheet also includes a US toll-free number for assistance. There are two metal elements on this strainer: fixing clips that give a certain rigidity to the clip-on handles. These aren't springs, so they're stiff and don't have much flex. It's not clear what they're made of, so there could be rusting or oxidation issues. We will update this review if we find any issues with the metal components. Easy to clean by hand (no abrasives) or in the dishwasher. There are no warnings not to use hot oil, but I strongly advise against using this remedy due to the risk of burns or fire. We love the concept of this filter and found that it can be used to filter cold items. I feel comfortable using it for hot liquids and food. Therefore we cannot recommend this strainer for hot food.
