I bought the car with a flat tire that couldn't be fixed. Unfortunately, it also had lock nuts. I have tried every means at my disposal to get rid of them. No success. I ordered them and they did their job. I've found that it's best to smash the nest in with a hammer and then use a pry bar. Tried with a percussion gun, maybe some nuts will work, but not mine. The nut was damaged but I was able to use it to loosen all four lug nuts and I have three other sizes intact - hope they will fit the next locks I come across. Understand that this is a sacrificial instrument. It is impossible for them to do their jobs without getting hurt. This is probably why the tire dealer will charge you $10 each to remove the locknuts. They pay for the tool they destroy to do it.
