I bought a blender lid and cartridge set and only needed the cartridge. I figured the cap is 11 years old and I have to remove it to get to the cartridge so I might as well put a new one in. When I replaced both and turned the water back on, I couldn't turn the shower off and it dripped in the off position. I took everything back out making sure I hadn't left the old o ring etc and the new cartridge was fine so I put everything back in and same result, I can't turn the shower off. I took everything apart again and thought maybe my cartridge was installed wrong? Once again I gathered everything up and turned on the water and, you guessed it, couldn't turn off the shower and it was dripping. So I thought it must be the faucet cover and replaced the new one with the original one after which I was able to turn off the shower. Koehler must have defective faucet caps, so be careful when you buy them. I couldn't return it because I mutilated the original packaging and soaked the instructions and forgot to leave them in the sink when I turned the water back on. I wouldn't even give it one star but that's because both the kit and the new cartridge worked perfectly. The cartridge gets 5 stars and the faucet cap 0.
