I originally bought these screws to build my son's sandpit. I needed strong screws that would hold the elements. Overall, this is an amazing screw design. It's a bit thicker than a regular drywall screw (which most people use for wood anyway) and packs the wood really well. I've had other screws in the past where the heads fell right off unless I drilled pilot holes. Pilot holes were not used for these screws. They have a unique Pozisquare design, so you can use either a cross or square nozzle. But they still offer the Pozisquare bit, so I just used that. After my son's sandbox was completed, I realized I had made it too big. So I loosened the screws with an impact wrench. First I used a corded drill, so I cleaned some of the screws pretty hard already. As soon as I used my Pozisquare bat, the screws came loose and I was able to reuse them all. I have since used up all the screws and am very happy with their strength and quality. I would recommend it for any outdoor project.
